Using neat oil poses no issues; however, the performance still depends on how frequently the customer cleans the pre-filter.
This particular customer, based in Malaysia, operates exclusively with Citizen machines and uses neat oil in their machining processes. After installing eight units of our oil mist collector, we conducted a full-day performance test the following day.
At 9:38 AM, the PM2.5 level was recorded at 845.0 µg, with all eight Citizen machines and our oil mist collectors in operation. By 4:00 PM, at the same testing location, the PM2.5 level had significantly dropped to 13.4 µg.
This customer typically operates 10 to 16 hours per day and replaced the after-filter three years later. Due to the impact of COVID-19 in 2020, their working hours were reduced, and as a result, they have replaced the after-filter only once since then.
In 2023, they expanded their production with 12 new Citizen machines and, this time, opted to include carbon filters for enhanced filtration performance.
