A dedicated stage to handle smoke is important: this is best accomplished with a DOP/HEPA filter on the final stage. If you don’t need this capability now, find an oil mist collector that will accommodate a retrofit later.
There are many similar models in the market. Compared with those similar models, most of the wind velocity is designed as 10 cubic meters per minute; KOTON achieves it with a motor of 0.4 kW, while our competitors normally adopt motors of 0.75 kW. So for each day, with eight hours of operation in the plant, each machine can save up to about 500 NTD of electricity cost per month.
A small motor is designed with low power but high efficiency. The wind velocity is huge and the suction vacuum power is strong, so users would have better temperature control effects. For air conditioners, the loading would be much less compared with conventional versions, so this also saves the costs of air conditioners.
The reason why this is so productive is because of the fact that the polluted air no longer needs to be discharged anymore. Rather, under the operation of our air cleaner, the cleaned air can circulate inside the factory over and over again, so the air temperature can be well reduced since the cooled air is clean. For air conditioners, the compressors need not work over and over again, which is a very benign condition in the consideration of machine operation.
No matter how you use it, you have to clean the Pre-filter every week and clean the air inlet adaptor, also the oil drain out tube every week as well.
Under normal usages with proper maintenance works, it can be used for 6000 hours.
You may use an ultra-sonic cleaning machine to clean it. Or, you may soak it with neutral detergent for at least 12 hours, and then clean it with clean water. After that, use compressed air to dry it from inward to outward until it completely dry.
The coordination between Pre-filter and After-filter is very crucial to the operation. Only with optimized coordination, can the machines work in the best condition. So you cannot judge what to do simply by the HEPA value.
If one adopts a higher level After-filter, it may cause reduced air blow, and leading to higher pressure. This situation would make the lifespan of the After-filter shorter because HEPA filtration membrane with higher-level contains smaller holes, so it is very easy to cause clogging.
In KOTON, we use KF-20E for comparison. If one adopts filtration of H12, H13, or even higher density, that would cause less air volume. In the same 10 cubic meters, it would need more power to be used for the same filtration effect. This process equals increased machine cost and electricity consumption.
Yes, absolutely. Just buy it, use it, and you will experience it.
Basically, we don't recommend it.
It depends on many variables, such as the contaminant volume, space, and other variables to choose if different machine tools can share the same oil-mist air cleaner. However, once you choose to share it, the filtration effect would be diluted, and it affects the eventual performance.
As the designer, we recommend that each machine tool is equipped with one oil-mist air cleaner.
